of your fingers(happened to me a couple of times with loss of ability to do headstands at all for many days sometimes)is then perfectly capable of bursting open,opening wounds into the interior of shirshasana a powerful tool of removing scoliosis from the list of health conditions you possess.Myself having a complicated case of scoliosis,i fight it off mostly in this headstand pose way. HOW TO DO Always use the same spot as the place to stand upon your head.This spot must be in a corner of a room,where no other activities are normally performed,and so that 2 of its walls were supporting you in case you lost your balance and started to fall down(a much realistic scenario as you only start to do the pose and arent good in it).This spot you'd be doing headstands at so must be in a corner of a passive to actions room,preferrably your bedroom.The third side would be a soft bed or another soft object to prevent you from injuries in case you DO fall down.The fourth side and the only 1 that IS dangerous to fall upon(the 1 you will be both facing and falling down towards when leaving a headstand)must be completely clear of ANY possible objects and contain nothing but the floor itself.Do not wear any shoes when standing upon your head-their weight will definitely make the headstand you try less possible to do as the weight of those shoes is then an additional obstacle to performing headstands.Interestingly your legs' fingers and toes are perfectly capable of both landing upon the floor NOT injured at all and also of finding NO real complication in case they HAD fallen down painfully,these latter are just GREAT at surviving similar complications completely uninjured,even as at first beaten pretty harshly,they return to normal action with problems well forgotten ALL too speedily after it.In this way you wont be injured if falling down and also the 2 walls(you'd be standing upon the head by them)are certain to support you in such a case.Put your head upon a collection of thin threaded towels(like 10),push it with your legs and rise them vertically.At first it will be hard to stand like this stably as your body will be attempting to fall down non standing upon your head.These latter might be mostly your heart feeling funnily/aching etc.And if your heart is YES aching/giving you ANY complications you would prefer NOT to have around,simply spare your heart,go slowly down and discuss this situation with your doctors-they will direct you well through such complications.Even for myself,and i AM a seasoned long term headstand practitioner,my exhausted heart is the second reason i leave headstands,the first being certainly exhaustion of the power of my muscles as in the pose.The heart is actually well accustomed to its current position of the head up and the legs down;and when you are suddenly in this topsy-turvy pose,it starts to overwork seriously as the demands of the body for additional fuel/energy,resulting from you headstanding,are increasing seriously,i would guess like tenfold,and the first thing that tires of it is the heart as it is tasked with adding ANY of the needs this body has upon itself normally.Hence both the heart and the backbone muscles are the heaviest working out body parts as you stand in shirshasana.Why would 1 be making such serious efforts to stand upon his/her head?The answer is because their backbone condition.Influential as it is,heavy scoliosis condition patients must always be assisted by other people as they perform headstands as there IS the chanse that their backbone would be suffering from Shirshasana as well;not only gaining from it the way Shirshasana mostly works on people. NASA SHIRSHASANA This variation of the Shirshasana pose is performed as while standing upon your head and try to touch with your nose's bridge the ground level;in MY case this level during headstands only as well.Even as for myself the effect is no longer existing(time/practise take off too many limitations you might be having now with time passing),i wanna warn new headstand users against thick red blood veins 1 might develop inside of his eyes' whites;1 must watch his eyes after headstands for such signs,after appearance of which the practise of headstands must be stopped till the very day when one's eyes no longer show any thickier blood vessels;once torn off and apart(this is exactly why do you then see your eyes' blood vessels thickened suddenly),blood vessels inside of your precious eyes would demand MUCH more time to recuperate and start acting/functioning normally,and 1 never wants his eyes in any bad condition sure.Not only eyes,the heart/blood themselves and many other organs 1 possesses must be improved and not in any case worsened in condition with yoga and/or any other life event.When 1 sleeps at night his body actually lacks action and even as it DOES require it it simply may not act waiting on its director the brain to get enough rest and return to its duties.I had been reading that even as 1 sleeps his body keeps making small movements,both eyes keep rounding their orbits,small movements mostly are well on throughout your entire body.The situation is very similar to 1 other situation we all witness in normal life-that of an enterprise's director leaving his area of management for a summer holiday abroad;it is exactly what happens even as we sleep-this very body is but a small replica of other,more general to all people social/life processes.To minimize this inconvenience(body lacks action even when its brain relaxes at night)of loss of permanent action during night sleep hours i use headstands both right before going to bed and right after getting up from it.Headstand is a very simple yet a very much profound for the internal tissues an exercise that actually requires no special instruments to be performed but a soft piece of matter under the head itself;and once the body is either awaiting its much undesired/even distressful at times ''no action'' period(thats when you sleep at night)or else it is just renewing its good condition(body NEEDS action and suffers without it too)right after its manager the brain IS back to action,i find that it is indeed best to engage the body additionally.To say/recommend it all in simple words,get/stand upon your head AS soon as up from your bed sleeping(best even before using toilet)and right before going to bed for a night sleep too.Thats simply for better final life results you'd be enjoying with time flowing.I personally use headstands pretty often and divide them into 4 groups as follows: 1)Paripurna Shirshasana;this is the way to do headstands 1 sees in each yoga book as the king pose is mentioned in each of them; 2)Brahma Shirshasana;in this 1 (i find it best of variations and better than 1) by its great importance to the backbone)you hold the entire body weight upon the backbone only and not never even touch the head with your fingers,your head pressed inbetween the both elbows;this pose just cant be hold on to for any long time amounts,which shows just how big the pose is-the harder and more important a thing 1 might use the less is he always able to hold on to it somehow. 3)Shudra Shirshasana,in which your fingers are heavily pressed upon by the head as the fingers are right inbetween the skull and the numerous thin blankets you must use for yoga.And 4)Nasa Shirshasana,which i like a lot and highly recommend as a great antidote against scoliosis the curved backbone condition(and i have this condition myself,needing to/managing quite successfully to work it into a better healthier state).In it,as in Paripurna Shirshasana finally,you must lower your nose down till it touches the several blankets that are covering the spot you use for headstands.This variation expells the backbone into the other from its normal position a direction,from inwards towards the bossom as it is in normally for us nowadays towards outards to your outer back;this heals curved backbone greatly + it also tends to increase the size,strenght and longitude of your backbone muscles because you then drastically overstretch the most daily busy part of your backbone;this has to gradually elongate your upper backbone muscles,developing these greatly.Having suffered from scoliosis personally from my younger age,i managed not only to stop aches it once brought me,but also to develop the muscles that surround the unjured backbone pieces into a much better condition.Once a leading me around problem currently the led around by my own self smaller life entity-is exactly the advertisement yoga and Shirshasana do need.Funny thing 1 can check upon himself is the heart is working better,stabler and more effectively exactly after you left this Shirshasana pose,as you can check yourself upon your carotid artery(thats the strong pulse giving spot upon your throat)with the fingers;because the character of the heart beating(you become a master of recognizing such details with time flowing)is shown with the carotid artery condition.Many times i measure the pulse/heart condition,the times right after a headstand are showing the best ever condition my heart(and so blood this main body piece too)is having.This proves the fact that our original condition,the 1 in which we start feeling physically better,is the topsy-turvy 1,with the head down and legs up;the condition,in which our long ago gone predecessors the trees are even now.Just like trees are,we consume their condition though while being in this topsy-turvy state;the condition,in which physics are overwhelming,brains are with rich blood supply and well upon their own self and body tingles with exhaustion.While trees are for ever in it,we can gradually(and only when we CAN)add this state to our own being.
